The Fifth Shenzhen Copyright Gold Award Ceremony Made Grand Opening

    The award ceremony for the Fifth Shenzhen Copyright Gold Award, cosponsored by Shenzhen Media Group, Shenzhen Press Group, Shenzhen Copyright Society and Shenzhen News Network, came to an end, supported and instructed by the Radio and Television Administration of Guangdong Province (Copyright Office), Shenzhen Market Supervision Administration (Intellectual Property Right Office) and related authorities. On December 9, 2016, the award ceremony took place at Bolin Novotel Hotel. The award ceremony was attended by nearly 200 participants and leaders, including Deputy Director Tang Zhaozhi from the Copyright Management Department of the National Copyright Administration; Deputy Director Chen Chunhuai from Guangdong Copyright Office; Chief Editor Su Huijun of Shenzhen Media Group; Wang Yuejun, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, Vice President and General Manager of Shenzhen Press Group; Vice President Lin Liang of Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles; major leaders from Shenzhen Market Supervision Administration, Shenzhen Social Organization Administration Bureau, Shenzhen Arbitration Commission, Music Copyright Society of China, Guangzhou Copyright Society and Foshan Copyright Protection Association; representatives from the judicial circle and creative culture industry of Shenzhen; and members of Shenzhen Copyright Society.

    The rating of the Fifth Shenzhen Copyright Gold Award is intended to promote the development of the copyright creation, application, protection and management in cultural creative and copyright sectors. The organizing committee has rated a total of 30 awards, including “Copyrighted Works Gold Award”, the “Copyright Application Gold Award”, the “Copyright Protection Gold Award”, the “Excellent Copyright Manager Award”, the “Annual Copyright Registration Leader Award” and the “Annual Award for Genuine Software Pilot Enterprise” in order to safeguard rights and interests of original works, inherit the original spirit and praise and encourage those outstanding representatives that have made eminent contributions in the copyright area.

    Of the works that have won the award, there is one song called Motherland, My Love, which is written by Tang Yuesheng and performed by Yao Beina. The song advocates a main melody, but renders the author’s deep love for the motherland and features delicate, sincere and rich sentiments. Yao Beina has performed the song, adding an unusual charm to the song and rendering a fascinating song that shakes the heart. Mr. Tang Yuesheng is a poet, playwright and famous word writer. He is a director of Shenzhen Musician Association, a member of Chinese Musicians Association, a director of Chinese Music Literature Association and a director of China Pop Musicians Association. It is the only works that won the excellent works award recommended by the panel at the first popular music competition of the Sixth “Golden Bell Award” in 2007. The literary works An Economic Perspective of Chinese Painting and Drawing Art is created by Mr. Wei Dazhi, who is the Director of the Industrial Economy Research Center, a professor at the School of Economics and a professor of China Center for Special Economic Zone Research at Shenzhen University. In addition, the works also contains a unique insight into the painting and drawing art. The book features rich contents, extensive coverage and broad vision. Different from general art market research, it is an exploratory works focusing on Chinese drawing and painting art and economics. It is also considered as the first systematic works that addresses the painting and drawing art from the economic perspective in China. The big winners of the film and television awards include Spring into Action of Boonie Bears from FANTAWILD, LARVA from Qianhai Larva Animation (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., The First Scene and Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan Live from Shenzhen Media Group, and Eagle Boy from Shenzhen Global Digital Film, Television and Culture Co., Ltd.. The Monkey, Come Up created by Mr. Luan Liyin is a serial sculpture that confers smart and tenacious elements on the money and renders artistic connotations with rich artistic temperament.

    Besides, the organizing committee has also conferred the “Excellent Copyright Manager Award” and the “Annual Copyright Registration Leader Award”. The awards are designed to highlight the importance of cultivating copyright application and protection professionals. In addition, the awards are intended to acknowledge and encourage those enterprises and persons that have long paid attention to copyright protection and application. The award is expected to play a positive role in establishment of copyright protection, administration system and other aspects.

     The event officially kicked off on September 20, 2016. The organizing committee delivered an announcement to all members and all circles of the society with the mobile application of Shenzhen Copyright Society, solicited bidding information and materials through the official website, email box, WeChat public platform and Moments and adopted recommendation by industry organizations and members. Finally, the organizing committee set up an expert review panel consisting of famous scholars, industry experts and professional representatives to review the works bidding for the awards in the principle of independence, equality and objectivity, which has made the recent Shenzhen Copyright Gold Award more influential.

   Ever since the outset, the rating of the Shenzhen Copyright Gold Award has grown into a brand of the Shenzhen copyright industry and played an important guiding role in promoting the industry development. It has set an advanced example in different links of copyright creation, application, protection and management, praised and communicated these good examples and inspired enterprises to forge a long-acting mechanism for copyright creation and application. As an innovation-driven city, Shenzhen wouldn’t go without encouraging innovation and protecting innovation results, without the government’s attention to and support for the copyright industry, and without people engaged in the copyright industry who have done a better job in respective area and added new splendor to Shenzhen’s copyright industry. We are deeply convinced that as long as all circles of the society pay attention to copyright and copyright protection, the copyright industry will definitely play an important role in enhancing Shenzhen’s development of an innovative culture.
